Cat Policies: Saving Grace provides pet-sitting services for cats, hamsters, birds and other small creatures.
A cat-sitting visit includes feeding, refreshing the water, and litter box scooping, as well as bringing in mail and watering plants (both indoors and outdoors, if necessary). We also spend time playing with friendly cats and kittens.
We recommend that you leave out in your home a set of instructions regarding your cat’s care. While we do input information into the pet profiles in our scheduling system, it is helpful to the sitter to have that information right in front of them as they do the visit.
Before you leave, please insure that you have enough food and cat litter on hand for the duration of your absence. Additionally, please leave your cat’s food in a conspicuous place so that we can spend our time with your pet and not searching for supplies.
We ask that you notify us by e-mail when you arrive home from your trip so we know that you have returned.
There are no refunds or credits for early returns.
The initial client interview will be done via phone or email. We recommend and can arrange a meeting with the pet sitter so that you and your cat may meet them in advance of your trip and explain your instructions in person.
You may give a copy of your keys directly to the sitter at the initial interview or you may arrange to drop off keys at our office. We are happy to hold on to your keys for any future trips or you may arrange to pick up your keys at our office once the pet sit is completed.
By special arrangement, we offer cat boarding with a qualified pet care provider. This applies to healthy cats when you require them out of your house - due, for example, to work being done, or an exterminator visit, etc.
We have experience giving medicines to cats including pills, subcutaneous fluids and insulin injections however we will not care for seriously ill animals and recommend boarding at a veterinarian in these situations.
