Homemade Doggie Treats!

Frozen doggy treats
1 mashed banana
2 tbsp. peanut butter
2 tbsp. honey
2 cups yogurt or cottage cheese

Combine all ingredients and freeze in mini plastic containers or small paper cups.

Fresh Breath Bickies!
3 cups parsley, processed
1/2 cup carrots, processed
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. olive oil
2-3/4 cups whole wheat flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 to 1 cup of water
Optional: Bran, oats, other lowfat cheeses or herbs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees with the oven rack on the middle level. Lightly grease a large baking sheet. Stir together parsley, carrots, cheese and oil. Combine all remaining dry ingredients and add to the veggie and cheese mix. Gradually add 1/2 cup of water, mixing well. Make a moist, but not wet, dough. If needed, add a little more water. Knead until completely combined.

Roll dough into a sausage (like cookie dough in a tube) and cut off 1/2-inch slices. Or, roll the dough out and cut into cute shapes.

Bake for 20 to 30 minutes until biscuits have browned and hardened slightly. The biscuits will harden more as they cool. Store in an airtight tin.
